Helm Crag can be approached directly from Silver Lea. Heading up Easedale and through the grounds of Lancrigg passed the Wordsworth memorial keeping an eye out for red squirrels we soon reach the start of the climb. A steep man-made track soon becomes gentler eventually leading to the summit. This magnificent viewpoint overlooks Grasmere village and the lake.
